Ahsan lauds China’s support for skills development in Pakistan, calling it a transformative step toward youth empowerment. Under the framework of China-Pakistan cooperation, both countries have signed a pivotal agreement to enhance vocational and technical training initiatives across Pakistan.
During the signing ceremony in Beijing, Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal described the agreement as a “transformative journey” that will equip the country’s youth with essential skills for the future economy. He noted that the collaboration aligns with shared goals to prepare the next generation for fast-changing global challenges.
Ahsan Iqbal praised the contribution of Chinese institutions involved in this initiative, acknowledging their ongoing support in strengthening Pakistan’s technical education landscape. He emphasised that building human capital through advanced vocational training is vital for long-term economic resilience and sustainable growth.
The agreement falls under the broader China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) vision, which aims to create inclusive development opportunities and boost youth employability through strategic investments in education and capacity building.
